Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Good Companion (Dobra Družba) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, in line with the ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can be "essential" (necessary for the site to function) or "non-essential" (e.g. analytics or marketing). We only use essential cookies and, if you consent, optional analytics cookies.

2. Cookies we use

Essential: We use session and authentication cookies (e.g. NextAuth/Auth.js) to keep you logged in and to maintain your session securely. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled if you use the platform. Non-essential (consent required): If you accept optional cookies we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (e.g. pages visited, general location). This helps us improve the service. Google may collect IP address and usage data as described in Google's privacy policy. You can refuse optional cookies and still use the site; we will only load analytics after you click "Accept" in our cookie banner.

3. Your choices

When you first visit we show a cookie banner. You can choose "Accept" (essential + analytics) or "Essential only" (no analytics). You can change your choice later via the link in the footer or by clearing cookies. Refusing non-essential cookies does not affect your use of the platform.

4. Retention

Session cookies are removed when you log out or when they expire. Analytics cookies typically persist for the durations set by the provider (e.g. Google Analytics). For details see the provider's policy.
