Good Companion (Dobra Družba) is a non-profit cooperative and secure platform that connects independent sex workers with clients who value discretion and respect. We exist to reduce harm, eliminate exploitative intermediaries, and put earnings and decisions back in the hands of workers. Then vs Now: How the Model Has Changed
The traditional model often involved third parties who controlled access to clients, set or influenced prices, and took a large share of earnings. That model is associated with extortion, violence, and loss of autonomy. Here is a direct comparison.
The Old Model (with intermediaries)
- A significant share of earnings went to a middleman (pimp or agency), often 30–50% or more, with no transparency.
- Prices and services were often set or pressured by the intermediary, not by the worker.
- Leaving or negotiating was risky; coercion and debt bondage were common.

The Good Companion Model (cooperative, no pimps)
- You keep what you earn from your services. The platform charges a clear booking fee; the rest goes directly to you.
- You set your own prices, schedule, and service list. The cooperative provides tools, not control.
- Membership is voluntary. Education and verification support safety; there is no dependency on a single person or outfit.

Why Eliminating Pimps Reduces Extortion and Harm
Pimp-controlled or intermediary-heavy setups are linked to extortion, violence, and trafficking. Removing that layer is not only an ethical choice but a practical one for safety and income.
- Less extortion: When no one “owns” your client list or your mobility, they cannot demand a cut under threat. You report earnings only to the cooperative under clear rules.
- No middleman violence: Coercion and physical control by pimps are eliminated. The platform does not act as an enforcer; it acts as a service and a community.
- Transparent fees: You see exactly what the platform takes (e.g. booking fee) and what you keep. No hidden deductions or “taxes” to a third party.
